The Place

     

Podere La Casa is a beautiful, very winding old estate in Val d’Orcia, at the foot of Montalcino, surrounded by fertile Brunello vineyards, 38 km south of Siena. In all directions you can enjoy a splendid view of the countryside. The house is equipped with several apartments and on all sides doors lead to the outside, to stone terraces, to the beautiful garden, to the swimming pool, outdoor retreats.
 Montalcino, only 4 km away, is famous for its very good wines, but also architecturally a Renaissance pearl. In addition to wine specialties, here you will find stores of all kinds, banks, post office, pharmacy, a beautiful cathedral, churches, museums, as well as cafes and restaurants. The Retreat

   
There will be three classes daily.
• Yoga (90 min.) a mix of gentle Hatha, Vinyasa & Yin Yoga; incorporating Feldenkrais elements
• Feldenkrais (60-75 min.) Awareness through movement
• Mindful breathing (45-60 min.) incorporating both Pranayama and Feldenkrais elements

Weather permitting, we will practice outside in the garden.
Of course, everyone is free to participate or to do something else or nothing at all.
 On one or two days a class could be cancelled to go on an excursion together: e.g. a hike through the vineyards to Montalcino and the surrounding places of interest such as Pienza, Quirico di Val d’Orcia.

In nice single or double rooms (double beds), all with private bathroom with shower or bathtub.

For children up to 12 years old, cribs can be added in some rooms.

Food

Freshly prepared breakfast & dinner.
For in-between in the afternoon, fruits and small sweet & salty snacks will be provided. Water & tea will be provided.
Vegan or vegetarian options available upon request. Regional products will be used.

Living & dining
for two in a double room (marriage bed) with HP 850 €
alone in a single or double room with HP 1050 €
local tax of 1 € per night to be paid on site
Extra beds for children up to 12 years are free.
Meals for children, HP 120 €

All the above figures refer to the entire retreat period.

Retreat fee

475 € up to 3 months before, until February 28, 2024, after that 550 €

It is possible to bring family or companions who do not wish to participate in the seminar. 
For them the seminar costs are then waived.

Individual treatments – Functional Integration

It is possible to book treatments during the retreat at a special price of 70 € in Functional Integration.

The remaining costs have to be paid at least 6 weeks before the retreat starts.

Unfortunately, the registration fee is non-refundable, so we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
There is still the possibility to transfer your place to another person who is not yet registered for the retreat.
